Revox STUDIOMASTER CD100

Connection and integration with the STUDIOMASTER M500 and M300
The CD100 connects to the M500 or M300 via two cables: a coaxial connection for transmitting the digital audio signal and a data connection for control and interaction. The new Revox Control Port CD Player Connection Cable included in the package ensures plug-and-play functionality and is simply connected to the USB port of the M500 or M300, as well as to the control input of the CD Player (RS232 Control). Configuration is fully automatic. The coaxial input is renamed "CD Player" in the system, the icon on the display changes, and all necessary settings in the configurator are applied. The user can immediately control the player and select the tracks they wish to listen to.
The CD100 turns on automatically when selected via the control unit? the CD is read, and the content is displayed in the app. A track can be selected, and the playback time updates and is displayed in the app and on the front of the M500/M300. The current status of CD playback is also displayed in the app and on the front display of the M300/M500, eg, “Reading,” “Play,” “Pause,” “Stop,” “No CD,” “Read Error,” etc. When switching to a different source on the M500 or M300, the CD100 automatically turns off.

Note:
If the coaxial input is already occupied by another device, you can also select a different input in the configurator — eg, the optical or analog input — for connecting the STUDIOMASTER CD100. To do this, the automatic settings in the configurator must be changed. This configuration is not saved in the system. If the Control Port CD Player Connection Cable is disconnected and reconnected, the standard auto-configuration will take place.
(Additional application: The CD100 is backward compatible and can also be fully connected to and used with the Revox Joy S119 or S120 MKII network receiver via the CD-Link interface.)
