102 SSC – Oyaide Electric Precision Conductor

• To avoid impurities as much as possible, only virgin copper that does not contain any recycled copper is used in accordance with JIS C1011.
• Peeling process is applied to remove 100% of impurities attached to the surface.
• In order to facilitate the flow of electrical signals through the surface layer of the conductor, the strand is made finer using a natural diamond die to improve the surface smoothness of the strand.
• The stranded wire is processed with a processing accuracy of ±1μm, far exceeding the standard error tolerance of ±8μm.
• Two annealing processes are used to eliminate mechanical stress distortions in the strands.

Patented “3E Stranded” Technology for Twisting Three Different Sizes of Wires Together

The 3E stranded structure is a concentric stranding arrangement of stranded wires in a lump-sum twisted wire conductor, and by arranging three different strand diameters, the stranding arrangement is made denser. By arranging three different strand diameters, the strand arrangement is made denser, enabling a finer conductor structure and improving conductor characteristics.

The strands of these three different conductor diameters are arranged geometrically to minimize the gaps between strands and improve strand density.

Furthermore, the outer diameter of the strands has been downsized to maintain a stable and highly accurate outer diameter, and the cross section after twisting is a perfect circle, an unprecedented conductor structure in the world. C.I.S Structure with Air Damper

Oyaide Electric original cross-shaped insulation structure (C.I.S. Structure) is used as a damper to lower the capacitance and improve the high-frequency characteristics while damping vibrations with its excellent stabilizer effect. The basic architecture adopts a coaxial layout to maximize the C.I.S. Structure, which supports the center conductor at a point rather than a surface to minimize mutual interference between the center conductor and the outside.

The internal air damper layout was conceived with a completely different idea in mind. The conventional approach to vibration is to damp internally generated vibration by compounding, but the ACROSS 750 V2 is based on the idea of releasing vibration rather than absorbing and damping it.

Furthermore, the C.I.S structure not only has an excellent stabilizing effect, but also contributes greatly to the improvement of electrical characteristics. The C.I.S. structure is made of polyolefin, which has an extremely low dielectric constant of 1/4 that of PVC, and is used as the insulating material.

Halogen-free PE Sheath for Audio

The exterior sheath is made of Oyaide Elec. traditional halogen-free PE (Polyethylene) sheath exclusively for audio systems, and the Beluga color (caviar black) was selected for its elegant and refined finish.

Exclusive RCA Plugs for ACROSS750 RR V2

What is needed to maximize the potential of a cable full of originality is an excellent terminal RCA plug.” The RCA plugs for the “ACROSS 750 RR V2” are original exclusive rhodium-plated brass pipe contacts. RCA plugs are exclusively designed to give the “ACROSS 750 RR V2” its own identity.

The metal part is made of brass, which complies with the European RoHS Directive. A tube structure is used for the center pin to secure the signal transmission area. All contact points are plated with 0.5 µ-thick rhodium to prevent contact corrosion and maximize the potential of “ACROSS 750”.

Furthermore, PTFE with a low dielectric constant is used for the internal insulation material to reduce transmission loss. Oyaide Elec. craftsmanship is also reflected in the outer shell, which is carefully machined one by one by NC machining, knurled precisely, and finished with chrome plating just like a camera lens. Oyaide “SS-47” Solder for Audio

Plugs and cables are soldered with “SS-47″, a lead-free silver solder specially designed for acoustic use. Ordinary solder has a tin purity of about 99.9% (3N) due to cost considerations.” SS-47″ is made of high-purity tin that is 99.993% (4N) or higher, eliminating impurities to the utmost limit. In addition, silver and copper are added to improve conductivity and prevent solder from being eaten away.

Furthermore, the ratio of silver in a normal alloy solder is 3 to 3.5%, but in “SS-47″ a whopping 4.7% is used without hesitation. In addition, SS-47 contains 1.7% copper, which has the second highest conductivity among metals after silver. This ratio dramatically improves the conductivity, and we succeeded in setting the eutectic point at 217 degrees Celsius. Of course, these blending ratios were not determined by numerical data and workability alone.

We believe that sound quality should be the top priority for a product to be labeled as an audio solder. SS-47” is the result of numerous listening tests of prototype models with various mixing ratios.
